What's at stake

For those who might not know, UC intends to deforest the vast majority of the land above and to the south of the campus. We'll be providing more photos, videos and the like in the coming weeks, but suffice to say that unless UC is stopped there will be virtually no trees left on the Claremont Canyon ridgeline (light green area) and very few trees in all the dark and light brown areas.

We are expecting them to certify their EIR to enable this work in the coming weeks, and unless what they propose is a great deal less destructive, we will initiate a legal challenge.
